BBA Pumps supplies 28 self-priming centrifugal pumps 12" for banana plantation in Surinam
Surinam Government is renovating Banana Plantation SBBS in Jarikaba and Nickerie in Surinam. This project will be finalized in 2008. 28 BBA self priming centrifugal pumps B300 in open dieselset configuration have been installed to do the pumping job. The pumpsets have been equipped with automatic level control switches to regulate the water level in the canals automatically. Self priming centrifugal pump B300, general information: The BBA self priming centrifugal pump B 300 (12”) is a robust compact contractor pump for handling clean or polluted liquids with flow capacity up to 1240 m3/h, total head up to 16 m and solid handling of 70 mm. The construction of the pump with open impeller, changeable wear plate and large cleaning covers enables to pump clean or polluted liquids. The mechanical seal is grease lubricated and guarantees a good performance of the pump. This pump can run dry for certain period and needs no food valve for priming up. The diesel driven B pump on a trailer is suitable for site work application. Built together with a diesel engine the noise level will be 77 dBa at 10m.
