4” diesel driven, super silenced pumping equipment for OPW Dublin
BBA Pumps is awarded to supply 6 units of 4” diesel driven centrifugal pumps to the Office of Public Works in Dublin. The demand was to supply pump units for emergency cases, as many cities in the south of Ireland had a lot of problems with flooded areas. The delivery contains diesel driven auto prime pump units mounted in a galvanised sound absorbing canopy, together with 4” suction- and delivery hoses and accessories. Special feature of awarded BBA pump model BA 100 HA GL is the very high efficiency, in combination with the large free passage of 82 mm of this pump. This unit could reach the duty point of 140 m3/h at 5 m with just a one cylinder diesel engine. With a maximum fuel consumption of only 1,5 l/h this BA 100 pump units is one of its kind. The fuel tank of 220 litre enables pumping for almost one week without refuelling. | | ||||||
| Together with the very low noise level of 54 dBa at 10m the people of OPW were extremely content with this model. The moment the pumps arrived in Ireland, they were immediately taken in operation in the city of Marlow. Pump specification: Max flow: 43 l/s Max head: 19 m Free passage: 82 mm With the delivery of these units, plus the fact that in 2007 OPW also invested in BBA pumps, shows that the reputation of BBA Pumps is also growing in the emergency pump industry. With the philosophy: “lowest cost of ownership” we supply our customers the best there is in diesel driven pump technique. |
