BA200 self priming ballast pumps

The London Array, a wind farm to be built at the mouth of the River Thames, will be the largest offshore wind farm in the world. Several international investors are working together on this wind farm that will provide energy for over 750,000 households.

The foundations of the turbines are prefabricated by two contractors from Denmark. In Rostock these foundations are loaded on pontoons for shipment to England. Two BA 200 pumps from BBA Pumps are used as ballast pump.

In total there are 31 planned shipments from Rostock to London. The production of the wind turbines is expected to be finished in early 2012.
