Pump for fire deparment Opole (Poland)

Situated on the Oder river, the Polish city of Opole has approximately 125000 inhabitants and is the capital of the Upper Silesia, Opole Voivodeshop and also the seat of the OpoleCounty. With the current meteorological changes, the city has been confronted with an increased threat of flooding on a regular base over the last years. After the last flooding in May 2010, the council of Opole has decided to invest into additional pumping equipment for the Opole Fire Department.

To prepare for the worst, the Opole fire department required a high volume pump unit that would be flexible in its’ applications, quickly to be moved and installed in various locations and have a complete set of pipes and hoses included. In addition, it was required that the supplier of the pump would be able to provide a high level of after-sales service in the form of maintenance and support in the field.

The BA200 pump end is coupled to a diesel engine, offers a maximum flow 840 m3/h and is mounted on a custom built trailer. This trailer also gives place to a full set of suction and discharge pipes and hoses, allowing the firemen to quickly deploy the pump unit whenever and wherever required.
