The BBA piston pump functions purely mechanically following the positive displacement pump principle.
Pistons with leather cups are moved in heavy stainless steel cylinders. A convenient valve system opens and closes the
pump chambers, and gear technology with smart lubrication provides a long lasting performance.
The slow running pump (60 strokes a minute) works with practically no wear. The pump is simply running with
a gland packing. An expensive mechanical seal is not needed. A stone catcher prevents stones entering the pump and provides
sufficient water for the leather cups.
